What makes me sad is that decent people at heart, like DF, are so certain that Democrats are awful and terrible that the will continue to vote for GOP candidates even if it means the world burns. I don’t get it. I would vote GOP if there were honest and viable candidates that would get shit done. But that ship sailed. Now it’s only about pissing off liberals and “winning”. What they’re winning with this sort of shitty politics is beyond me. It’s just making things more divisive and causing more destruction.

I am proudly liberal. I love my country. I am a Patriot. I also love my country enough to be critical when things are wrong and see room for improvement. I think that government has a job to do, and it’s too damned important to treat like a game. We’re supposed to be Americans, being part of a community and helping each other and working together. Republicans consistently show no signs of wanting to do that. Whenever they rarely do that the far right scares them back into submission.
