The Christian Right is too focused on achieveing a theocracy to realize it would be the absolute worst thing to ever happen to America since it’s founding. The problem lies in their inability to think past the next election and realize that the theocracy they want to usher in may not always be ruled by “Christians” but coud at some point in time be ruled by Muslims. Separation of church and state was written into the constitution for a reason; namely that the founding fathers did not want to go back to a system of government that their forefathers had fled from. I have no problem with God and prayer being a part of someone’s life decisions, but the moment they use their position of political power to evangelize, I draw the line.

Jesus Christ never had an R or a D after his name. Why is this so hard to comprehend.?

it may be a nearly universal appeal to a higher order of things and the righteousness in the pursuit of something they see as more perfect…I dunno really….it makes me wretch thinking about it…I’d turn into a flaming lib before I’d endorse ant kind of veiled theocrcy
