I agree in general. Regulations designed to facilitate safe purchase, possession, carry, training and if necessary use by the responsible law abiding adult are fine with me. But I live where many regulations are designed to interfere with that process or create a very burdensome environment. So I object to those.
Screening, training, safe storage, carry rules etc, all good by me.

So what part of the platform you linked to with the seeming request that we object to in writing to our representatives do you disagree with?

We will protect Americans’ Second Amendment right to own firearms, and we will keep guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists by fighting gun crime, reauthorizing the assault weapons ban, and closing the gun show loophole, as President Bush proposed and failed to do.
