Uhm, great rant and all…except you should stop a sec and actually look up the meaning of terms. The one you’re looking for is “assault weapon.” The term “assault rifle” is a recognized one that is easy to define: Any automatic rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and detachable magazine.

So the weapon used was not then in fact an “assault rifle” was it? (since it was not fully automatic). ;)

Uhh, about your definition? Then what would be the difference between an “assault rifle” and a “sub-machinegun” wouldn’t the definition for both be identical? (fully automatic, detachable magazine, intermediate cartridge)
