It’s always “crazy” people. I’m sorry but while our mental health system needs to be improved. We can’t keep on dismissing all these murderers as “crazy people.” James Holmes was a medical student.

TO be clear it does appear that James Holmes was a very crazy medical student. But that is besides the point. Better healthcare? Absolutely. More comprehensive mental heath services? sure. Legislation that makes it easier to commit people deemed a danger? Why not. Gun control? Absolutely. These are not mutually exclusive. The reality is there will always be crazy people walking around, diagnosed and undiagnosed. Doesn’t mean that we should not make it more difficult for them to get firearms.
