FWIW, lottery sales must be way down, at least here in California. The payouts for last night’s MegaMillions were low (for example, four white balls only paid $242 when usually it is up in the four hundred dollar range) and the five-ball value is just creeping up.

Of course the lottery local offices are closed to the public, also, but that alone wouldn’t deter sales, I think.
