Unfortunately, those deals were arranged long before Obama arrived in India. The only thing that was “finalized” was contract signing ceremonies, which were delayed for Obama’s benefit.

Obama is not unique in doing this. Other presidents — and other countries — do exactly the same thing to give the appearance that their overseas junkets have a purpose.

The dude understands free trade. That’s unambiguously a good thing.
