Some interesting book recommendations this morning.

I echo the recommendation of Umberto Eco books, all I have read so far have been interesting. And even if you have seen the movie(s) “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” series is worth the read as well in my opinion. Per GOT, I think if you have an interest in how a medieval kingdom and its nobles interacted the series is one of the better fictional takes on it in a while. Though I can see how the initial introduction piece can throw someone - it’s a piece of meat for a sub-plot that doesn’t ripen for a while.

Though I am currently reading non-fiction. Re-reading the first two books of Atkin’s “Liberation Trilogy” as I got the third volume as a birthday present. (This is a *good* series on the US Army in the ETO in WW2. Vol I is North Africa, Vol II is Sicily and Italy, and Vol III and France and Germany. A pretty brutal appraisal on US Army leadership and preparedness for land operations in WW2.)
