Yeah, in the beginning I didn’t think it was the best idea to try to build a new mosque there, but when people started acting as if all Muslims are Nazis and asserting that we shouldn’t have the same rights/protections as other religions it forced me to change my mind. Haters like Geller getting involved only made me more resolute.

Exactly, it was the people arguing against the first amendment rights of Muslims that bothered me and seeing how nasty people Pam (who I had recently became familiar with were towards Muslims). They called it the “Ground Zero Victory Mosque” which I found fucking sick because as I said there were many Muslim victims of 9/11 too and that Imam and his congregation(don’t know the correct word here, if you want to help a guy out here, feel free) but they had no connection whatsoever to Al Queda or the Taliban.
