Trump’s main goal to drive up oil prices, that’s the main task Putin has given him. The easiest way to do that is to toss a grenade into the Israeli / Palestinian status quo and forever destroy any hope of a two state solution. The second easiest way is to get into a shooting war with Iran that closes off the Straight of Hormuz. My guess is that both options will be implemented before 2017 is over.
