I’ve been asking people if they have read Neuromancer, especially since there is getting to be a push for a movie. I have found one person that has read it, and I work at an engineering company. It’s just surprising that one of the most influential sci-fi books still has so few readers.
I also have an idea for the phone box scene, since rows of phones will probably not exist in the future:
Case walks through a crowd. For people carrying phones, he hears them ring as he passes. He also begins to hear his name as he walks by people answers, in statements like “No, I’m not Case, I think you have a wrong number.”
