There are solid arguments for why extending copyright to the duration it now provides should not have been done. How you shorten that without serious Constitutional implications?
Have a SCOTUS that will shred precedent and cause major harms to all kinds of businesses. Disney may be visible because they aggressively protect their copyright (which is their right). But they’re not the only ones. The backfire from this move would be severe.
