He’s only embarrassed he will be shown up as a typical lying politician as he is going totally 100% against a “firm” campaign promise he made, so he is hiding from public view when he signs the pork stuff spending bill.

I wish I could jump in and defend him, but political reality or not, he should have bit the bullet IMHO. My take is that he’d earn enough political capital to embarrass congress when they whined.
