The fact that said force was Muslim is not the point, the point is that they were unjustly aggressive (though it must be said that in 732 Islam was definitely being spread by the sword). The fact that some assholes have latched on to him does not taint Charles Martel, it only proves that bigots will try to latch onto convenient bits of history to try to disguise the fact that they are bigots.

The Charles Martel Society and Group hide nothing, they are quite explicit in their anti-Arab scapegoating and hatred. Do you think they just picked his name out of a hat?
