Wilson is a #NeverTrump guy. He’s openly said that Trump’s only chance is if Hillary gets mauled by a bear and he gleefully insults Trump’s fans who try to defend their guy. This doesn’t mean that Wilson is suddenly a saint since he’s the ad guy who did the Jeremiah Wright ads in 2008, but it’s fun to watch.

Thank you for clearing that up, I had no idea who Mr. Wilson was, other than his byline in the article.

So yes, Mr. Wilson is only concerned for optics. His calling out people for supporting Mr. Trump then follows the rubric “You’re supposed to use the dog whistles.”
