Trump looks and sounds worse every time he appears on public. I’m seriously worried that he might die in office, and soon. As several Lizards have pointed out, the RWNJs would go absolutely bug-nuts if that happened. To top it all, we would get Lord Gilead himself, Mike Pence, as the immediate replacement.

That could go several ways.
1) The Trump Base might revolt against Pence, because he’s the one who stands to gain most and he doesn’t have Trump’s ‘White Trash feral cunning’ to appeal to them with.

2) The base might not revolt, but they might be a lot less supportive of Pence. He’s more about the gays and the ladyparts than he is about the Browns. Without the Trump Base to scare the GOP, they might just become more conventionally bad, rather than actively pro-fascist.

3) The GOP might appeal to Trump’s memory to pass some of their egregious shit, in sort of a Bizarro version of LBJ appealing to JFK’s memory to pass GOOD legislation.

4) Without a leader, the Trump Cult that is the GOP might tear itself to pieces and disappear up its own asshole.
