It looks like going back to Nebraska will cost a lot more than getting to Chicago. Good thing my car gets about 50 mpg.

Iran has threatened shutting the Straits of Hormuz before. If they did that now, there would be an instant economic collapse around the world.

If Iran shuts down the Straits of Hormuz - and as you noted, they’ve threatened it before - yeah, there would be a pretty much overnight global recession.
