My husband is supposed to be taking the same insulin regimen that your wife is. With insurance, a package of 5 pens is almost 125 per pen. The vials cost 50. What costs money is the pen. The insulin itself is more reasonably priced. It’s fucked up. When he was working we had a lot better insurance. What we have now from healthcare dot gov is not great. Because our fucking governor won’t expand Medicaid or except more money from the federal government. He will be eligible for Medicare in July because of his disability. I have 4 years til I can get it. After July I am on my own insurance wise. Because my anxiety disorder needs this shit.
