I think at some point you will find this boy is very much alive.They went out of their way to obstruct his face,but in the scene where they are carrying the “lifeless” body to the grave he is holding the child with his one hand propping up the head and when the head falls back it appears to move on its own forward,just gotta play it like 50 times to see it.Just my 2 cents.
