What you say about laws not passing only applies on the federal level. There have been a number of gun-restricting laws passed at the state and local levels. And even a number of states that didn’t enact general restrictions have enacted measures designed to improve the reporting of those found to be seriously mentally ill in order to keep them from buying guns.

Oh, so it’s personally applicable then?
