Intelligence is overrated.

If the country valued intelligence, we might be doing something about climate change for example, rather than threatening to pull out of the Paris Accords. Louie Gohmert (R-TX1) wouldn’t be within a thousand miles of the US House.

Idiocracy seems to have been a documentary: Overall, intelligent people have fewer children. We’re being “outbred.”

If we valued notions like citizenship and civics, our electorate would be better aware of how a government and an electoral system is supposed to function.

If we taught communications and media skills, our population would also be aware of how news is disseminated and why.

If we taught concepts of basic science, more people would understand what a scientific theory is and how it applies to studying life on Earth.
