According to the weather almanac on my weather radio just now, we’re at 10+ inches of rain for the year. That’s four inches above normal (nearly 50%).

That helps keep the aquifer up, but doesn’t help keep us from being underwater (we are under flood and flash flood watches for this evening with the upcoming round of severe thunderstorms).

We’re getting rocked by a thunderstorm that slid up from the southwest right now. We actually aren’t in a desperate need of water right now; the water table is pretty high at the moment. I don’t know where the rivers are at.
