Good points. On the human scale there are many tragedies daily but I do consider Islamic honor killings especially horrible because there are clerical rulings supporting them.

I wonder what the annual number of deaths due to honor killings is, compared to the number of avoidable deaths in the US due to lack of adequate healthcare.

Compare and contrast - fanatical mullahs vs. the high priests of capitalism (who are also “doing god’s work”, or so they say).
