Interesting. I can’t comment on that as the part I’m currently reading about addresses that changes that happened during the Reagan years and through the ’90s, with the added changes brought about by digital media & the internet. I don’t have a clue what things were like pre-WWII.

You should check into bandwidth allocation matters from around 1926 to the Communications Act of 1934/creation of the FCC.* Those are really interesting. I have old local newspapers from that era that have listings for stations from Washington to Mexico.

BTW, the game-changer for what we have now was the Telecom Act of 1996.
