Lets make Baseball actually interesting and worth watching. A few ideas of mine.

1) Full Contact
2) Keep the bat while you run
3) Randomly mine the field
4) Release wild animals such as lions, bears and tigers onto the field at random intervals

you obviously have never seen a Red Sox/Yankee game.
