Even if we clawed all of the CO2 out of the atmosphere, in 500 million to a billion years Earth will go the way of Venus, as the Sun’s luminosity continues to increase, making it energetically favorable for CO2 to come out of limestone instead of atmospheric CO2 going into it, and leading to thermal runaway. So when you read that the Sun has 5 billion years left on the Main Sequence: True but irrelevant as far as life on Earth is concerned.
