Let’s face it. From this point on, the regime will live every day looking over its shoulder. Repression is likely to get worse and worse, and that will be likely to turn more and more of the populace against the (now-blatant) dictatorship.

The “Islamic Republic” is no more. Some of the clerics get that point. The longer the regime hangs on, the more likely it’ll be that some of them will be executed. When they are … this will snowball, big time.

I hope you are right. It seems the Mullahs have won this first round though. If they start hanging the protesters, who knows what will happen.
