No shit. I agree with a shotgun, but a double-barrel is even more awkward in a dark or stressful situation than the AR-15. Besides, a pump-action shotgun is a deterrent just by racking the slide. That sound is internationally translated as “Kiss your ass goodbye.”

When all else seems inadequate, there’s always a Saiga 12 with a 20 round drum.
