So, apparently, in EUIV, the other nations have gone kooky.

Bhutan is now a mighty empire (conquered Tibet), and Norway colonized Newfoundland.

Norway controls Iceland at the start of the game which gives them a good starting point for colonization of the Americas, but they usually only manage to get a couple provinces in the long run.
