You expect that from tabloids, but I was unpleasantly surprised about Newsweek.

Newsweek is a hollow zombie publication.

Right-wingers bought it for the brand name and reputation, then fired everyone and created a whole new RWNJ magazine within its shell.

(while I was writing this post, I tried to remember the name of the bird that does that, putting its own eggs in somebody else’s nest…)
