re: #115 William Lewis
Was going to post this earlier but then my internet device barfed and I had to go into the local T-mobile shop for a new sim card. So here we are again…
A Navy ship named for a Confederate victory now honors a Black Union hero
Likewise, Fort Rucker which was named for a Confederate, will now be called Fort Novosel, for a Medal of Honor helicopter pilot who rescued thousands and Ft Polk being renamed Fort Johnson for Sgt. William Henry Johnson, a North Carolina native who served in the Army during World War I and was awarded the Medal of Honor.
Uhh….we need a movie about that man. What a great story!!!!
