Parents of a friend of mine got married in a park in Berkeley in 1968-69. He had a lime-green suit with ruffles. She wore a purple suede minidress. The cake almost didn’t get there because there were students rioting on Telegraph, and the bakery dude only opened the door and shoved out the cake after much pleading from the father of the bride.
