In other Minnesota-related news, Governor Walz also announced this morning that our vaccine schedule is moving to what he calls “Phase 1b Tier 2 and Tier 3” which includes: Age 45+ with one underlying comorbidity; Age 16+ with two comorbidities; Age 50+ in multi-generational housing; and all essential workers. We have reached 70% of Phase 1a and 1b Tier 1 (age 65+) with at least one dose, which was his target for advancing the dial. Minnesota has been quietly leading the country in COVID-19 statistics since the post-holiday spike, and it’s largely thanks to Governor Walz’s strategy of remaining well-informed and active in mitigation measures.
