As for Obama’s “independent fund to attract private dollars and issue loans”, that I really am against. That sort of funding should not be a governmental affair. Despite what he says, it would be far too vulnerable to congressional manipulation, and would make who gets loans a political decision, rather than the fanancial matter it is now.

I think it is an excellent idea to cut loose some of that hoarded corporate/”job creator” cash to be used for private contractors to build public infrastructure.
