Ron Paul does not want to legalize pot. He does not want the federal government to ban pot, but the federal pot law affects virtually no one. Paul is perfectly OK with state drug laws. The best you can say is that he thinks a war on drugs is a bad priority, but even then, he’s talking about federal policy.

This cannot be said enough. Ron Paul does not object to discrimination and restrictions on individual rights if states do it or if businesses do it or if individuals to, he only objects to the federal government doing it. He’s a neo-Confederate states rights nut.
