The wise-guy who repairs stereo and PA equipment here has decided to start using Christmas music to test his handywork, of course at Jimi Hendrix volume levels. I am reasonably sure this is how workplace shootings happen.

I really hope that stupid little girl gets her friggin’ hippopotamus for Christmas, and I hope it shits all over everything she loves.

I don’t know why all the “secular” Christmas music has to be so syrupy and cloying and just downright stupid, lyrically and even melodically. It’s enough to make me wish there really WERE a War on Christmas. I’d enlist.

With a few exceptions, I find the more religiously-oriented traditional Christmas music far less objectionable, sometimes quite pleasant, which is amusing considering that I’m about as atheist as one can get without being a controversial British author.
