It’s like the Republicans don’t understand the checks and balances in the government, beyond the ones that they can use to fuck with the Democrats. They’re not really going to be able to whip out outrage in the independents by saying “Obama is making recess appointments!” when the answer to why he’s doing so is that the GOP has been holding up the votes on confirmation.

In addition, the GOP work slowdown, whatever you want to call it, whereby they proceed to waste lots of military people’s time— that was pretty dumb.
