Like many here, I considered her a friend…we had a number of long exchanges via email and Twitter DM over the last 6 years or so.

Don’t not recall having lost an “online friend” like this before…but, of course, it feels just as awful as losing any other kind of friend.

I was over at Balloon Juice a lot when General Stuck passed. It was over a month before we figured it out and John contacted people to verify it.

Both of these have made me wonder about online connections. How many comments does it take to connect people to you enough that you will be missed?
