The current hazard of the currently circulating varieties of COVID (which are highly transmissible: Dr Stack said one person on average will infect 18 others with this current strain) is if you don’t vaccinate, you have a better chance of being hospitalized or dying, then those who do vaccinate and follow the usual precautions when out and about. Dr. Stack did point that out in his presentation.

I do want to see actual cold statistics on this. One problem, of course, is that total number of cases is unknown since most people self test and these numbers never get reported.
