The New York Times can’t bring themselves to use either “lie” or “disarray” when referring to the Republican Party.

It’s also written like it’s a perfectly reasonable and proper thing for a political party to figure out a believable cover story for a criminal investigation of their boss regardless of the contradictory bullshit said boss is spewing, instead of, you know, demanding a full and objective investigation. Well, the GOP anyway. The reaction of the New York Fucking Times to a comparable situation with a former Democratic president is an exercise for the reader.
