But really, if you go down any major street in Portland, you’ll eventually hit a McMenamins pub. There’s gotta be a hundred of them in the city limits. The take old schoolhouses and turn them into resorts, they take 100 year old buildings that are in poor shape and remodel them into beautiful pubs, they’re a pretty cool outfit!

I can get with that…a city needs novelty when it comes to civic and business stuff like that…it’s fun, it makes money, and it gives a city some character, something ABQ sorely lacks
