My wife and I went to a shooting and drinking even today. She’s very good— she had the highest score of all the girls. Gender does matter, since rifles are pretty heavy and she never really shot before.

It was a lot of fun, and very relaxing. I actually love loading the ammo; discrete little snickety stuff like that is soothing and hypnotic to me.

Then we drank a shitload of bourbon, rye, scotch, etc.

I keep promising myself I’m going to buy and gun and learn how to shoot. I keep procrastinating because I really don’t like guns. I don’t like killing things either but I really should hunt at least once just to say I’ve done it.
