And the gop has now set the precedent likely to be followed by Dems if a Repub wins the WH in 2012. Dems won’t forget the over the top obstructionism of the GOP, and will be happy to repay the favor, neutering a Pres. Romney any chance they get. Our govt is more dysfunctional at this point than any in the last century.

Thing is, I don’t see the sort of moderating personality in Romney that Bush had in the day, so a Tea Party/Republican Congress might be crazy enough to make a bid at abolishing the filibuster, or at least effectively neutering it.
