I’d say it’s even money. Dan Rather got burned by his own side in a very similar situation. There’s a story, conclusive proof is lacking. Huffpo, TPM and Mother Jones hold up each “new” document as the holy grail only to find out it just tells us what we already know. People want this story to work, evidence is lacking, people get impatient and over eager. The stage is set and I’m think someone out there will try to take advantage.
