Mucking along on voter registration in FL. I was correct, there has been no
TPGOP registration effort since the Sproul contractor got caught dirty. Manning little tables here in the suburbs, even registering Republicans, feels good when you realize they know we’re out here, and they’re not. Has to be a little demoralizing. Only met one really bothered non-voter, “Mr. M-16 T-shirt Guy”.

Rachel Maddow had a piece yesterday explaining that Alabama Republicans, instead of going across the border to panhandle Florida like you guys, are flying to places like Ohio and canvassing there. She made a good point that going to Florida makes sense, similar cultures, and familiar accents would be welcome there, but that a bunch of AL Republicans reinforcing stereotypes in Dayton Ohio isn’t going to sell all that well.

Anyway it looks like the ‘Bama GOP is going to wait two more weeks before mobilizing. Registrations will be long closed by the time they get there so they’ve really missed what could be the most crucial part of the game. Also, when they do go to Florida it’s going to be Jacksonville, for four days only.
