Depending on where you live true black powder isn’t always that easy to get, mostly what you find is BP equivalent like Pyrodex, and most reloaders don’t use it unless they’re into cowboy action shooting. A lot of local fire departments place onerous storage requirements on true BP because it’s comparatively unstable and much easier to ignite than nitro based equivalents and smokeless powders.

Very true. Even the more common stuff on the shelves could do something like this if in enough quantity. For every town that regulates this stuff, there’s several more in 2nd Amendmentville that doesn’t.
