Have we actually regressed? I mean it here. I mean we did make history and man am I glad I was part of it in making Barack Obama our first African-American president but have we actually gotten worse? This isn’t Obama;s fault. Obama has probably had the most diverse administration of people I’ve seen not just in cultural backgrounds but also differences in ideology too. But it seems to me on that day in November when many of us felt like a new chapter with new hope in American history had began, others decided to make it worse. Remember Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and several high ranking Republicans actually were meeting the day Obama became president to come up with ways to sabotage him.
