One thing is clear - the current political mood in the UK is in turmoil, and it is in such situations that extremist groups pick up support. Now, whether that can translate into long term gains is another question. The BNP likely will do well in certain constituencies, but overall will do squat wrt membership in Parliament.
The rise of the minor parties in the UK may keep either the Tories or Labor from getting a majority in Parliament, though, and that could be interesting.
