re: #131 May Day! May Day!

Would you have the time to do a diary? (1+ / 0-)
It would certainly be helpful. The hearsay, some of it quite contradictory in detail, makes it almost impossible to pose an intelligent question…

Thinking about it, but… (1+ / 0-)
Quite honestly I’m not the best writer, and so much has happened to me the past few days I wouldn’t know where to begin. I feel more comfortable just trying to answer questions right now.

Just structure it as a timeline (0+ / 0-)
If you want to message anything to me, I’d be happy to help. Used to be a newspaper copy editor, among other things…

But you’re probably tired, too!

Extremely tired. (1+ / 0-)
I’ve been walking all day and was forced to check into a hostel as I’ve lost track of my friend who was in the march tonight. The police still have my phone and lost my drivers license which is making everything very difficult for me. I will diary tomorrow.

Get some rest (0+ / 0-)
And have a good breakfast! You’ve spoken to a Guild attorney, yes?

Thanks and yes. (1+ / 0-)
I was held over 30 hours without EVER BEING QUESTIONED by police and then suddenly released. The first 18 hours were spent in a place that is known to be a black area that no lawyer has ever been permitted to go to. The NLG lawyer that met with all of us was the first lawyer that’s ever been there. Someone has also contacted the ACLU on my behalf.

Where you held separately or together? (0+ / 0-)

The first 18 hours we were seperated (2+ / 0-)
into individual interrogation rooms. After that we were moved to another jail and put in one large holding cell together. I was in the first group that was released. The next 3 people released later that day told me that they were given separate jail cells shortly after I left. These cells were your typical rows of jail cells and did not prevent people from talking to each other.
