White privilege is not every mistake you did in your life being twisted into you being made out to be a thug. Every small mistake that Mike, Eric, Treyvon, and the others have made has been used by the media to try to make it out like these guys were “bad seeds.” Really using their logic, it would be perfectly acceptable for the police to shoot Josh Duggar and that’s obviously not something I would condemn but if Josh Duggar were shot by the police unarmed, I think we all could bet good money that the media would not be using his criminal past to search for rationalization of his death and would certainly not use an unflattering photo.

Yep, and that that mindset seeps into so many of the public school systems(that just happen to be as segregated as they were in the 60’s). The statistics on discipline are appalling. The way that racial bias exists in school discipline matches the way it exists in society as a whole. And when you have black and brown kids that are made into thugs and vagrants from the time that they are 5 years old by authority figures, is there any wonder why there is a natural distrust of all law enforcement.
